Are the fitness benefits of the YMCA worth the high cost of membership?
I know the YMCA does a great job with charitable programs. As a social worker, I really appreciate their dedication to the communities in which they serve. I’ve never worked out in their gymns, so I’m not sure if the high cost of membership is, in purely fitness terms, a good deal. Is it?
I agree that in comparison to other gyms, the YMCA is higher. But, I’ve found that unlike other gyms they have more programs for families. i.e. kids basketball, flag football, swimming programs, summer camps. They also are more community oriented in the respect that if you want to use their facilities for some type of gathering, they’ll usually let you. Most other gyms are just that…gyms. If you have a family, you can really get your moneys worth, if you are just looking to workout, it might be better to join another gym. In all honesty, it boils down to personal preference.

depends how much your eating. i wouldn’t work out hungary, you might faint from low blood sugar. If you eat light and then do a good workout it is best. Then eat a heavier meal. After a workout your body will need (and crave) protein to help it build muscle you burned in your workout.
What are the benefits at Life Time Fitness for swim instructors?
I am currently working with our district as a swim instructor but their are no benefits and I currently do not have any health insurance, so it would be great if I could find a place to coach/teach where I would also receive health benefits. If you have ideas of places that do or if you know whether Life Time Fitness does do benefits for their swim instructors please let me know. It would be a big help.

What parts of the body do a stepper work on? Can using a stepper make you butt look bigger? What does a stepper do that a treadmill cannot do? Is it worth buying if you already have a treadmill?
I think steppers work on your calves to tone them and to make the muscles in them bigger.
I’m not exactly sure though.
